WELCOME!!

        The Mission of Sawyer and Su is to recreate and reenact for the public the daily life of a sawyer and his wife. We attempt to do this by using tools and wearing clothing appropriate to the period. We do this in the form of a first person impression.  We reenact in the upper Midwest of the United States. Primarily the areas known as the Northwest Territory in the late 1700's and the English Prairie in the early 1800's. Su and I reenact time periods spanning from the Revolutionary War period (1770's) through the Jacksonian period (1830's). This includes the Revolutionary War (1770's), the Lewis and Clark expedition (1804), the War of 1812, and the Black Hawk Wars (1830's) .
